What LaunchBird collects, why we collect it, and the control you and your clients have over it. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Last updated August 2026

1. Who we are

LaunchBird is a client and project operations platform for marketing agencies, operated by Vertili. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, and what you can do about it.

It covers both the LaunchBird website and the LaunchBird product.

2. Two kinds of data

Some data is ours to answer for: the account details of the agencies who sign up for LaunchBird. We decide how that information is used.

Other data belongs to our customers: the clients, projects, files and portal contacts an agency puts into its workspace. We process that on the agency's instructions. If you are a client of an agency using LaunchBird, contact that agency first, since they control the workspace.

3. What we collect

  • Account information: your name, work email, agency name and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
  • Workspace content: the clients, projects, tasks, time entries, proposals, invoices, updates and files you create or upload.
  • Billing information: subscription plan and billing status. Card details are handled by our payment provider, and we never store full card numbers.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps, and error logs needed to keep the service running and secure.
  • Messages you send us through the contact form or support.
  • Contact-form security checks: Vercel BotID helps prevent automated abuse. We also keep temporary, hashed submission and network identifiers to limit repeat messages.

4. How we use it

  • Provide and operate the product, including client portals you publish.
  • Authenticate you and keep accounts secure.
  • Bill your subscription and keep records of it.
  • Provide support and respond to your messages.
  • Detect, investigate and prevent abuse, fraud and security incidents.
  • Understand which parts of the product are used so we can improve them.
  • Meet legal and accounting obligations.

5. Cookies

The LaunchBird marketing site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

The product uses cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in and to keep your session secure.

6. Client portals

Agencies decide what appears in a client portal. Internal tasks, drafts and comments are not published unless the agency chooses to publish them.

The agency is responsible for the accuracy of what it publishes and for the people it invites. We process portal information on the agency's behalf.

7. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.

  • Service providers that make LaunchBird work: hosting, storage, transactional email, error monitoring and subscription billing. They may only use the data to provide their service to us.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
  • A successor, if LaunchBird is ever transferred as part of a business change. We would tell you first.

8. How long we keep it

Workspace content is kept while your account is active. If you delete content, it is removed from the live service and ages out of routine backups.

If you close your account, we delete or anonymize workspace content within a reasonable period, apart from records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can request access to your personal information, ask us to correct or delete it, ask for a copy in a portable format, or object to certain processing. Contact us and we will respond.

If your data sits in an agency's workspace, we will point you to that agency, since they control it.

10. Security and location

We use encryption in transit and at rest and limit internal access to what is needed. Our security practices are described on the Security page.

LaunchBird is operated from the United States, and data is processed there.

11. Children

LaunchBird is a business product and is not directed to children. Do not create an account if you are under 16.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page, and we will tell account holders in the product when a change is material.
